MTV's College Life -

I finally had a chance to catch the premiere of MTV's new show featuring UW-Madison freshman. I would just like to point out, as the university and thousands of fellow students have:

• We don't whine about relationships as much
• A 30% in math is like, a B, with the curve
• Yeah, 30 people drinking in a dorm room is going to get caught

And as a former employee of the University, I feel obligated to also point out the following:

• 60% of UW students have done community or volunteer work
• UW-Madison ranks first among universities for most graduate students in Teach for America and most involvement in Student Conservation Association
• The University has, since its inception, had the highest percentage of Peace Corps volunteers of any institution in this country
• Consistently ranked among the top 10 public universities for academics
• More than 3,000 undergraduates have been involved in some form of research working with members of the faculty

So, yeah we party, but most of us are passing classes and making a difference in this world too.
