The Zimmers - My Generation - The oldest rock group ever doing a cover of The Who's 'My Generation'. They're pretty good.
For your amusement: Chimpanzee rides Segway - And in related primate news: A Japanese restaurant owner trains monkeys to be waiters.
Talk To Your Parents About McCain - PSA Parody.
Racist McCain-Palin Rally - I think the Presidential Race is closer than everyone is reporting. I think when pollsters are calling McCain supporters, they're answering 'Obama' out of embarrassment being associated with these nut jobs.
xkcd - Listen To Yourself - Yes please. Added 10/13/2008: NO WAY. The folks over at YouTube actually implemented this.
Wario Land - Creative Youtube video advertisement that interacts with the rest of the page. Added: And you can drag around the stuff afterwords and the physics still applies! How cool!

YouTube Comment Snob - Firefox plug-in to filter out all the stupid comments on YouTube. I use this and love it.
Local Idiot To Post Comment On Internet -
"I will finish posting my comment, then sit there like the worthless human being I am and wait for other commenters to respond," he added. "Because, as I mentioned before, I have nothing better to do with my life."
"We are blessed to be living in an age when we have a global communications network in which idiots, assholes, and total and complete wastes of fucking human life alike can come together to give instant feedback in an unfettered and unmonitored online environment."
The animation is really fun."In 1969, a 14-year-old Beatle fanatic named Jerry Levitan, armed with a reel-to-reel tape deck, snuck into John Lennon's hotel room in Toronto and convinced John to do an interview about peace."
The Website Is Down: Sales Guy vs. Web Dude -
"Dude AOL? Don't use AOL. It's dial-up networking."
"Well how am I gonna get to the internet without AOL?"
"It's ... We have a corprote OC-3. It cost like a 1,000 dollars a month. So don't use AOL."
"Well, can you carry over my hours?"
Weezer - Pork and Beans - They got several famous YouTube celebs to sing their song, pretty sweet. Their best video since 'Keep Fishing' with the Muppets. Although you can't beat South Park's YouTube war in Canada on Strike.
listed in: music video, Youtube | ∞
Alice, Remixed - He also has a few other Alice in Wonderland remixes over at Last.fm. The UnBirthday one is sweet.

How $5 Makes a Difference in Online Comment Quality - A side-by-side comparison of comments on Metafilter (which costs $5 for an account to comment) and YouTube (where any idiot can comment). Craigslist drastically improved the quality of job postings in large cities by charging $25. Amazon.com improved movie and book ratings by showcasing reviews where the reviewer uses their real name, verified by their credit card. The Ithmus has a high quality of comments because they require people to post with their real name as well. Hopefully other websites will use one of these two methods to improve their own content quality. *cough* youtube, digg *cough*

One Semester of Spanish - Love Song - A must see for anyone who took Spanish in High School.
I finally found a solid 5 hour block of time in which I was able to edit together the footage I took from the Lake Tahoe ski trip I went on. Warren Miller, watch out.
I've been a little under the weather lately and not able to update. I have a backlog of links to share with you all, and I'll start catching up tomorrow. I'm also working on another "recently discovered" music posts. In the meantime, I would like to share these two songs which are currently stuck in my head:
[More]iPhone Pixelizer - Turn your iPhone into a piece of abstract art!
listed in: art, do-it-yourself, iphone, Youtube | ∞
No We Can't - Parody of Obama's video.
Hit me if you need me homie, I'll be on my I-PHONE - It will be stuck in your head for the next week.
A Bad Day at the Office - Hilarious collection of security camera clips of people loosing control at work. I'm not sure if it's faked, but funny regardless.
Magic Highway USA - Watch this clip. It's a riot. It's Walt Disney's prediction of the future of transportation. Some of the items have actually made it, like the rear-view-mirror camera... and others... like the nuclear powered car... have not. I love these clips though. But now, where is our sense of wonder of the future? The clip even features a cameo by his house of the future. I want to go back to EPCOT.
listed in: Disney, future, transportation, Youtube | ∞
End of the World - A really sweet splice of President Bush's words to REM's 'End of the World'. Insanely well done.
Everyday Normal Guy - Rap parody. Probably one of the funniest things I've ever seen on Youtube.
Sufjan's Chicago, A capella - University of Michigan's "Dicks and Janes" a capella group opened for the Madhatters this past weekend. They sang Sufjan's Chicago, and it sent chills all through my body. I finally found a clip on YouTube... obviously the quality isn't as good as it was live, but still amazing.
The Hush Sound - The Lions Roar - Another one.

Ya no sé que hacer conmigo - A sweet music video made all from typography.
listed in: music, typography, Youtube | ∞
Not the Daily Show, With Some Writer - An 'episode' of (Not) The Daily Show produced by one of its writers on the picket line. It's really really funny. And full of really good points.

Giovanni Sollima - Daydream - Beautiful music and video from an Italian cellist. Sounds familiar. Was it used in a movie?
Reach! A Lecture Musical Prank - Older, but I've never seen it before. Too good not to share.
Circle Circle Dot Dot - A really cool Lego stop-motion music video a friend discovered. (Sorry for the lack of updates, it's the big "moving" week in Madison)
listed in: music, stop-motion, Youtube | ∞
A Promise Not Forgotten - A beautifully-made student documentary about the Abe Lincoln statue on Bascom Hill that I saw at the Spring 2007 IFVC Show. Answering the simple question, "What is he doing here?" It's really good, and you should watch it. [Part 2]
listed in: uw-madison, Youtube | ∞
MSNBC Anchor Shreds Paris Hilton Script - At least somebody is sick of talking about it.
listed in: paris hilton, Youtube | ∞
Areva - A commercial for a Nuclear Power company made by the same folks that created Röyksopp's Remind Me music video.
listed in: commercials, infographics, Youtube | ∞
Jimmy Kimmel - Unnessary Censorship - Too many bleeps can be just as bad.
NASA's Moon Return Video - Are they going to the moon or making a movie?
Royksopp - Remind Me - You know the Geico commercial with the Cave Man in the airport, going past the advertisement on the moving sidewalk? This is the song, and that is the music video. Really cool infographics.
listed in: infographics, music, Youtube | ∞
Stop, Look, and Listen - Stop-motion movie from the 60s on Road Rage.
listed in: stop-motion, Youtube | ∞
The Most Hated Family in America - A good inside look at the Phelps family. Louis Theroux does a great job of putting up with these nutjobs without getting in a shouting match (unlike Hannity & Colmes, The Tyra Banks Show, etc). It's really sad to watch.
Free Jimmy - "Four stoners, five vegans, three mobsters, four hunters and a million reasons to free one junkie elephant." Maybe I can find it on Netflix.
Demetri Martin explains Viacom/Youtube Lawsuit - Ironicly enough, the clip has been removed from YouTube because of copyright complains from Viacom. :-/

listed in: stop-motion, Youtube | ∞
Minilogue by kristoferstrom - Cool stop-motion animation on a white board.
listed in: stop-motion, Youtube | ∞
Art Paul on Youtube - If you can't get enough of him on State St.
UCLA Taser Incident - Not for the light hearted. It's pretty fucked up. You actually probably don't want to watch it.
Reporter body-checks drunk girl - "You know that you just made your debut on YouTube, right?"
Certified Microsoft Developer - at 11 years old!
listed in: Microsoft, smartasses, Youtube | ∞

listed in: video games, Youtube | ∞
MySpace on Daily Show - A little old, but recently rediscovered. Still hilarious.
